UPDATE OUR NEW BOOK I am currently co-authoring a book with a writer from Boston. The temporary working title of this new book is, "THE KILLING OF KURT COBAIN" This title will be changed before the book is published. We will update you on the final title prior to the release of this new book. We know that our demographics, (age range and backgrounds of interested readers), are from 13 to 40 years of age and consist mostly of those who were or are currently fans of Nirvana's lead singer and song writer, Kurt Cobain. Our new book will be intended to enlarge those demographics to include more of a general readership which will include those who never even knew who Kurt Cobain was. In other words, the book should stand on it's own as a good read and a fascinating book full of true mystery and intrigue. Having said that, I suggest that you do not wait for this new book to be released. Anyone who has not studied our website at www.cobaincase.com and read the additional material contained in our "Cobain Case Study Manual" will be at a distinct disadvantage when reading this new book as mentioned below. TO OUR SUPPORTERS: I have said from the beginning, "This is going to be a long, slow process." I knew what I was up against when I received the first letter that Courtney Love's attorney shoved under the door to my former Beverly Hills office while I was away. Many of the e-mails and messages I receive daily read, "Keep going Tom. Never give up." While I really do appreciate the moral support, it mostly seems to indicate that readers believe I have unlimited funds to continue this case at my own expense. Close friends, clients and those who have worked with me over the last few years know different. Many of these well intentioned e-mails also include a very common ending, "If you need anything, I'll do whatever you want. Just ask!" I often remind the sender that I don't get paid to work on this case and that supporters, "such as yourself," can help most by purchasing our Cobain Case Study Manual at: www.cobaincase.com/manual.htm Then, of course, skeptical e-mails begin pouring in accusing me of doing all this "just to make money!" So let me make this issue a bit more clear. Besides helping offset our some of our costs for time and expenses, sales of the Cobain Case Study Manual, (which includes a FREE Cobain Case Audio CD), do play another very important role here; they help me gauge the public's continued interest in this case. Donations, whether large or small, help me continue to push forward by sending me your own personal message-- that you feel the professional work I have done on this case for so many years, (and continue to do), has value. However, I do not ever want anyone to ever send money or purchase the Case Study Manual if they are struggling with their own personal finances, especially if they have a family with young children. Take care of your family first, please! I will survive without ever depriving the poor or accepting support from a family when it's difficult to even provide for your children's needs. Your family and the well being of any child must always take priority. TO OUR CRITICS: Consistency is a vital key to establishing your personal beliefs and maintaining good mental health. Are you consistent in your logic and reasoning? If you feel you are, I would have to ask, "How can you justify singling out the one private investigator who was hired to do this job for your critcism and sarcastic skepticism?" To remain consistant, you should be writing and criticising every person in the media who were, or will be paid to write, produce, narrate and sell their mostly inaccurate stories immediately after and during the years that followed that violent, terrible day in April of 1994. Even after Kurt's death, during a drive to the town of Carnation, my client, Courtney Love, pretended that she wanted me to continue digging into the details surrounding her husband's death. She was under pressure to do so becasue her friend, Kat Bjelland, was in the car with us at the time and began asking questions. (Kat was obviously unaware of Courtney's antics prior to Kurt's death). During this drive, Courtney told me that I was, "the best private investigator she ever hired!" IF you listen to the tape recorded call in our Project unplugged Segment #2, you will also hear Ms. Love say to me, "You're a good PI!" It might be time for the skeptics to actually begin listening and reading the information I have provided rather than simply blowing it off because they don't want to believe it. It's all been well documented by audio tape and a reading of the actual, inept Seattle Police Reports. Simply take the time to LOOK at the facts before you end up looking foolish. AND FINALLY: I recently began utilizing "TWITTER.COM" as an additional tool for presenting information to the public about the Cobain Case investigation. It took awhile to learn how best to use Twitter and I still need some advice from a few experienced users, but I'm learning and discovering that Twitter can be one of the most effective tools at our disposal.
